OH I GET IT!  It's k yo k in the same stitch!!!  Duh....  I feel so silly.  I hope you will delete all previous confusing comment.  Took me all afternoon to find my mistake despite your very clear pictures.  I just assumed I knew what k yo k meant.  So very sorry!  Fortunately, I am experienced enough with lace that I always do a prototype on fat needles with fat sturdy wool.  Now that I've sorted things out I'm going to enjoy finishing with my delicate yarn and small needles.
